Chris was born and raised in Bourbonnais, Illinois. A town about an hour south of Chicago that would years later become the “Summer Home of the Chicago Bears!” “GO BEARS! THIS IS THEIR YEAR!” Chris shouts.
As a teen, Chris always knew what he wanted to do with his life: be a dancing/dealer at a casino on Fremont Street. Well, that didn’t work out so he picked radio DJ, and hasn’t looked back since. Star 107.9 is Chris’ first radio gig in Vegas and he couldn’t be more excited! “I love Vegas! The people, the energy, the traffic! Well, traffic...not so much.”
Among Chris’ many accomplishments, nothing compares to being voted “Senior Class Clown” at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School in 1989. “I still get a little emotional talking about it. I was always so serious ... not!”
Chris moved to Vegas in 2017 and received quite a welcome as he tells it:
“I drove into town the afternoon of 1 October. That night my phone was blowing up. I woke up to so many calls and texts from friends asking if I was okay. I’m thinking, what’s going on? I had no idea the horror that was happening in my new city. Days later I - and so many others - would experience how a city that was hurting so badly bravely came together and helped each other heal. It’s something I’ll never forget. I’m so proud of this city! Living here and being part of Star 107.9 is a dream come true!”
