Election day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Nevada’s Election is happening during one of the most interesting political years of our lifetime. Nevada will mail all active, registered voters a ballot in the mail in late September or early October. You can also vote in person, and Nevada offers early voting. Early voting starts Oct. 17 – Oct. 30, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live

You can also register and vote on Election Day. Same-day voter registration is also available at any in-person polling place during the 14-day early voting period, which runs from Saturday, October 17, 2020, to Friday, October 30, 2020.

Q: When can I vote in this election?

A: Election day itself is Tuesday, November 3 and polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. and you can ONLY vote at your polling site. But there is EARLY VOTING!  The early voting period, runs from Saturday, October 17, 2020, to Friday, October 30, 2020.

Q: Where do I send my voter registration form once I’ve filled it out?

A: If you are registering to vote in Nevada, return your completed application via mail or in person at:

• Your County Clerk/Registrar of Voters office;
• Your City Clerk Office; or
• Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles

Q: Where do I vote?

A: Once you are registered, your County Clerk/Registrar of Voters will send you information on your precinct and the address of your polling place – the location of where you will vote on the day of the Primary Election or General Election. You may also find this information online at My Voter File.

Your voting location depends on the address you used when completing your voter registration application. If you registered to vote using your hometown address, you will have to vote at either your designated voting precinct location in your hometown or by absentee ballot. If you chose to use your college residence address, you will vote at your designated voting precinct located in the district of that you currently reside. Precinct locations will be printed on your sample ballot or you may locate your voting location on “My Voter File” on the Secretary of State’s website:http://www.nvsos.gov.

To confirm your registration, you will receive a voter registration card by mail. If you do not receive this, please contact your local City Clerk or County Clerk/Registrar of Voters to verify your application was received and processed.
