The country saw a 100 percent workflow increase because of the Instagram and Facebook blackout. Here's what caused it and the internet's reaction.
All jokes aside, major platforms like Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp were down for almost 14 hours yesteday.
With two major platforms down, Instagram and Facebook took to Twitter to spread the word about the blackout. While Facebook addressing it was NOT a cyber attack on the social media giant.
We're focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack.

This morning, Facebook Tweeted out that the outage was caused from "server configuration change."
Yesterday, as a result of a server configuration change, many people had trouble accessing our apps and services. We've now resolved the issues and our systems are recovering. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience.
