Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account this morning to let her fans know she had an organ transplant.
Last year, the singer revealed she had Lupus, an autoimmune disease that can affect organs.
Over the summer, Gomez seemed to refrain from the public's eye and was noticeably quieter on social media. In a touching Instagram post, she acknowledges her absence and says it was due to having a kidney transplant.
Actress Fracia Raisa is credited with donating one of her kidney's to Selena, and undoubtedly saving her life.
The touching social media caption sits underneath a photo of both Raisa and Gomez side by side, recovering in the hospital.
We're so glad the pop star appears to have made a full recovery after having major surgery.
