Of all the cool stuff on YouTube, there's nothing better than James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke." If you're a big fan, you're going to be really excited because the popular segment from The Late Late Show has been picked up by Apple Music to become it's own series!
Apple just released a teaser trailer for the debut season on February 13th, and the first thing we've noticed is that James Corden isn't always behind the wheel of the segment's signature Land Rover each week. The trailer shows clips of other celebrities like Seth MacFarlane, John Legend and Lars Ulrich driving around which is great because it opens up the door to amazing karaoke moments like Metallica sining Sia's "Diamonds" with Billy Eichner! As a matter of fact, the action doesn't just take place in the car either with the trailer revealing James Corden and Will Smith taking a helicopter ride together while singing R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly," and Blake Shelton and Chelsea Handler stopping off for a drink while belting out Journey's "Don't Stop Believing."
It looks like they're not sticking to just one genre of music either with James Corden and Will Smith rapping the theme to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane going Broadway with a rendition of "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors. There's also a marching band involved too!
The new series looks exciting with the new hosts and fresh faces on board and who knows what surprises are in store once the series launches on Apple Music soon. Overall, you can say that the backseat just got a major upgrade.
