Richard Branson Buys the Hard Rock Hotel

The Hard Rock Hotel has a new owner.

According to the Review-Journal, the British Billionaire  - who already owns Virgin Airlines and the entire Virgin Group conglomerate - made the official announcement yesterday. It was, of course, at a poolside celebration.

The Hard Rock Hotel will be renamed Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, and Branson explained that one reason he was drawn to the Hard Rock was because it is much cheaper to buy property off The Strip. He also explained a little about his plans for the casino. He states that "we know how to design things, to bring some magic back into it." He also said that, sadly, the signature guitar in front of the property would probably not survive the rebranding.

What do you think of Branson buying the Hard Rock?
