'True Blood' Actor Stephen Moyer Pens Brilliant Note About Nelsan Ellis

'True Blood' Veteran Stephen Moyer popped in on Facebook to write a tear-jerking note about co-star Nelsan Ellis, who died this weekend suddenly at the age of 39.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ellis died of Heart Failure, and the abuse of drugs and alcohol over many years took a toll on his body, but he attempted to withdraw from alcohol on his own, and his body gave out on him.

Co-star Stephen Moyer shared his memories with a note (which you can read in full below in it's NSFW glory) but had some amazing and heart-crushing memories of their dear, sweet Nelsan, who played Lafayette on the show.

One of the highlights of his note included a very iconic scene for Lafayette, which embodied his character, in all his risque glamor:

"In the scene that was being shot that day, Lafayette, a male cross-dressing short order cook in the show, was expounding on his theory of men’s fear of the female anatomy.. specifically, the vagina. ‘I know every man whether straight, gay or George Mother********’ Bush is afraid of the *****..’ I’m not sure I have ever seen, before or since, people crowd around a monitor at video village with their hands clapped to their mouths from shock, sheer laughter and wonder as the actor playing Lafayette jiggled and shook and humped the butchers block to get his point across. it was completely original, funny, sardonic, risqué and brilliant. "

He will be sorely missed, and as tributes still pour out for Ellis, including some of the favorite scenes including him, we will all remember the character that was Lafayette.
