We Now Know Why Jack Sparrow Is Being Chased In New "Pirates Of The Caribbean" Trailer

Earlier this week, fans of Pirates of the Caribbean got an exclusive first look at the latest trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and from the very beginning, you can tell that Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow is some deep trouble.  The latest installment of the "Pirates" franchise finds Jack Sparrow down on his luck with things taking a turn for the worse when deadly ghost sailors, led by the scary Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem) escape from the Devil's Triangle with the intention of killing every pirate at sea... especially Jack.  Jack's only hope for making it out alive is to find the Trident of Poseidon, but to do that he must forge an alliance with beautiful astronomer Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) and headstrong Royal Navy sailor Henry (Brenton Thwaites).

The movie also stars Kevin McNally who reprises his role as Joshamee Gibbs and also adds Golshifteh Farahani as the sea-witch Shansa, Stephen Graham as Scrum, and David Wenham as Scarfield.  Geoffrey Rush is also back as Captain Hector Barbossa as well as Orlando Bloom as Captain William Turner.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters on May 26, 2017.
